Yukio Kani

Global CEO and Chair

Yukio Kani has served as Global CEO and Chair of JERA since April 2023. His primary responsibilities involve driving the globalization of the organization, fostering stronger relationships with business partners, and creating a diverse and open culture. His deep experience in LNG, renewables, and hydrogen/ammonia plays a pivotal role in the company’s global collaboration and talent utilization.

In his previous role as the Head of JERA’s Business Development Division, Yukio was leading the launch of its renewable energy and hydrogen ammonia businesses, in addition to LNG. He also served as Chief Strategy Officer, where he developed its Mission/Vision and the framework for business strategy, and led the establishment of JERA Global Markets, the company’s global fuel trading arm.
With over 30 years of experience in LNG, including a significant tenure at Tokyo Electric Power where he advanced the company’s first LNG carrier ownership and upstream investment projects, Kani has been instrumental in constructing the LNG value chain. This foundation allowed him to envision the establishment of a global energy enterprise, contributing significantly to the creation of JERA, a joint venture between TEPCO and Chubu Electric Power.

He majored in Economics at Aoyama Gakuin University in 1986, and earned an MBA from Columbia Business School in 1994.

He holds Japanese nationality and resides in Tokyo, with previous living experiences in Switzerland, the United Kingdom, the United States, and Australia.

Hisahide Okuda

President, CEO and COO, Director

Hisahide Okuda has served as JERA's President, CEO, and COO since April 2023. In this capacity, he is responsible for ensuring the company's growth trajectory through effective capital policy, robust organizational and people strategy, and fostering a wholesome corporate philosophy and culture.
With extensive experience in Japan's energy sector, ranging from strategic planning to operations, he lays emphasis on the resilient management across JERA’s organizations and business assets while developing and implementing its decarbonization strategies. This endeavor is essential for securing Japan's access to a stable and clean energy supply.

He began his career at Chubu Electric Power Company (CEPCO) in 1988, where he gained a wide range of knowledge and experience in the energy field. This included a secondment to the European Commission in Brussels, Belgium, early in his career.
Before joining JERA in 2019, he played a key role at CEPCO, managing the process of realizing the JERA concept and integrating CEPCO's fuel and thermal power assets.
Since joining JERA, he has held various roles of increasing responsibility, including Director, Corporate Vice President, and Managing Executive Officer in charge of Corporate Strategy. His oversight of corporate strategy, management planning, business research, and public relations has been pivotal. Notably, he led the development of the JERA Zero CO2 Emissions 2050 roadmap, which sets the course for the company's decarbonization efforts.

He earned a B.A. in Economics from Waseda University in 1988.

He likes listening to classical music and looking around architecture in his free time.

Kazuo Sakairi

Chief Financial Officer

Kazuo Sakairi was appointed as Managing Executive Officer, Director, and Chief Financial Officer of JERA since April 2019, and was promoted to Corporate Vice President, Managing Executive Officer, Director and CFO since April 2022.
Leveraging his expertise and global business experience cultivated at financial institution, investment bank, and M&A advisory firm, he supports JERA's growth strategy from both financial and non-financial perspectives and leads initiatives to enhance corporate value.

Before joining JERA, he served as managing director and head of the Asia region for GCA Corporation (“GCA”, now Houlihan Lokey), an independent M&A advisory firm.
He began his career at The Bank of Tokyo (now MUFG Bank) in 1987, working in the investment banking divisions in Tokyo and New York, and after working at Mitsubishi Securities (now Mitsubishi UFJ Morgan Stanley Securities), he joined GCA. He was involved in cross-border M&A operations for over 25 years.

He earned a degree in political science from Keio University in 1987.

He played on the high school baseball team himself and has served as a youth baseball coach for many years. He is a baseball enthusiast to the core.

Tetsuya Watabe

Corporate Vice President, Managing Executive Officer, Director
Chief O&M Engineering Officer

Tetsuya Watabe has served as Chief Operations & Maintenance (“O&M”) Engineering Officer of JERA since July 2023. In this capacity, he leverages his extensive experience in planning, constructing, and operating thermal power generation facilities to ensure the safety and stability of JERA’s overall power plants. He also drives business edges of O&M engineering through the introduction of plant-level innovative digital transformation and decarbonization initiatives.

He joined JERA in April 2019 as Senior Managing Executive Officer, having several roles at Optimization Dept., and was nominated as head of O&M Engineering Dept in Apr 2021.
Prior to joining JERA, he served as the head of the Generation Planning Division at Chubu Electric Power Company, Inc., (“CEPCO”) where he was involved in the process of integrating generation assets into JERA.
He joined CEPCO in 1987 as an engineer and has contributed to stable power supply through high-efficiency power generation, with over 30 years of experience in planning, constructing, and operating thermal power plants. He was also involved in the development of the gas supply business and contributed to CEPCO’s transformation into a comprehensive energy operator.

He earned a B.A. in Engineering Science from Kyoto University in 1987 before completing his Master’s in Economics at Nagoya City University in 1996.

He is from Nagoya, Aichi Prefecture, married, and the father of three children.

Joseph M. Naylor

Independent Outside Director

Joseph Naylor was appointed as Independent Outside Director at JERA in April 2021. Leveraging his extensive experience in global energy company, he provides valuable advice for the company's medium to long-term value enhancement decisions.

He brings a wealth of experience to his role, having spent 36 years at Chevron Corporation, a leading American multinational energy company. Throughout his tenure at Chevron, which began in 1982, he excelled in diverse roles spanning engineering, trading & logistics, marketing, and business development. He held several key positions, including Vice President of Policy, Government, and Public Affairs, where he was instrumental in fostering relationships with clients and governments globally. Notably, he also served as Vice President of Strategic Planning, overseeing capital and resource allocation.

He holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from the University of Michigan.

In addition to his professional achievements, he is dedicated to community service. He volunteers for the American Cancer Society and served on their national board of directors from 2017 through 2022, demonstrating his commitment to public health and advocacy.

Miyuki Suzuki

Independent Outside Director

Miyuki Suzuki was appointed as Independent Outside Director at JERA in April 2021. With her extensive international experience as a business leader across multiple industries, including media and IT, and her deep understanding of corporate governance from serving on various boards, she provides advice from a multifaceted perspective and supports sound corporate management.

She began her career at Reuters in London, UK, in 1982. Over 15 years, she worked in postings across eight countries, ultimately becoming Managing Director for Reuters Southeast Asia, based in Singapore. Her career includes senior executive roles such as Executive Vice President and Head of Consumer Business at Japan Telecom Co. Ltd., CEO Asia Pacific at LexisNexis, President, CEO, and Vice Chairman at KVH Co. Ltd., Chief Executive Officer and Representative Director at Jetstar Japan KK, and President and General Manager at Cisco Systems Japan. Most recently, she served as President of Asia-Pacific, Japan, and China at Cisco Systems, based in Singapore.

Miyuki holds a honors degree in Modern History from Oxford University.

She is actively engaged in promoting Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI), with a particular focus on female leadership in corporate Japan. Her hobbies include music, playing the piano, hiking and bird-watching.

John Rittenhouse

Independent Outside Director

John Rittenhouse was appointed as Independent Outside Director at JERA in June 2023. In this role, he focuses on the company's energy market activities, leveraging his extensive experience in commodity trading to contribute to optimization initiatives and enhance risk governance.

He co-founded EDF Trading Limited in 1999, developing it into a global leader in the wholesale energy markets over 20 years. He served as its Chief Executive for 13 years, until retiring at the end of 2019. During his tenure, he formed the Chubu Energy Trading joint venture, the predecessor to JERA Global Markets, which serves as the market interface Company for JERA’s fuel trading business.
Currently, he serves on the boards of JERA Americas, D.Trading BV, DRI BV, and Spearmint Energy LLC. He is a senior advisor to the Roscommon Analytics CEO.

He holds a BA in Accounting from University of Delaware (1980) and MBA in Finance from Fordham University (1988)

He is married with five children and resides in New York. As an avid masters swimmer, he holds European and British records in the backstroke events.

Lim Hwee Hua

Independent Outside Director

Lim Hwee Hua was appointed as Independent Outside Director at JERA in June 2023. Her wealth of political and business experience in Asia, coupled with an extensive personal network, has been invaluable in advancing JERA's energy business expansion across the region and in effectively navigating geopolitical risks.

She joined Swiss Bank Corporation (now UBS Group AG) in 1989, Jardine Fleming in 1992 and Temasek Holdings in 2000. Elected to the Singapore Parliament in 1996, she has held senior positions ,including Minister in the Prime Minister’s Office in Singapore, and concurrently Second Minister for Finance and for Transport. After retiring from Parliament in 2011, she transitioned to roles in the financial and industrial sectors, these roles included serving as a Non-Executive Independent Director of Jardine Cycle & Carriage Limited, , Re Sustainability Limited and Summit Power International, Non-Executive Independent Chairman of Asia Pacific Exchange, as well as a Senior Advisor to KKR from 2011 to 2023. She is currently the Chairman of the International Valuation Standards Council, a Non-Executive Independent Director of Nippon Paint Holdings Co. Ltd and Non-Executive Independent Chairman of Japfa Ltd.

She holds a BA/MA in Mathematics/Engineering from Cambridge University and an MBA Finance from Anderson School of Management, University of California, Los Angeles.

Akihiro Watanabe

Outside Director

Akihiro Watanabe was appointed as an outside director of JERA since June 2024. As the founder of a global M&A advisory firm, he has long played a leading role in providing advisory services for M&A projects and developing services for assessing corporate value. He has also advised on building corporate governance for many Japanese and international companies as an outside director. With this extensive experience, he contributes to maximizing JERA's corporate value and strengthening governance from a global perspective.

He joined the New York office of the American accounting firm Peat Marwick (now KPMG) in 1982, passed the U.S. CPA exam in 1985, and was mainly engaged in the acquisition of American companies by Japanese companies in the M&A department. In 1990, he became the youngest Japanese partner at the firm.
After returning to Japan in 1994, he became the representative of KPMG Corporate Finance. In 2004, he co-founded the M&A advisory firm GCA (now Houlihan Lokey), led the company's listing on the Tokyo Stock Exchange in 2006, and its business integration with the American investment bank Savvian in 2008, growing the company into a global M&A advisory firm. In 2022, the company was integrated with the American firm Houlihan Lokey, and he currently serves as its chairman. He has also served as an outside director for many companies, including tRanbaxy in India, Maruho, and Uny FamilyMart Holdings (now FamilyMart), and in 2022, he led the delisting of Toshiba as the chairman of its outside directors.

Kazuhiro Nabeta

Outside Director

Kazuhiro Nabeta has been serving as an outside director of JERA since June 2024. He is also the Director, Executive Vice President, General Manager of the Corporate Planning & Strategy Division, and Chief Information Officer (CIO) of Chubu Electric Power Co., Inc. (“CEPCO”), with many years of experience in the fields of technology development and management strategy of power business. With his extensive knowledge and perspective as a shareholder, he contributes to the company’s growth and technological advancement.

He has spent a long career at CEPCO dedicated to the development and utilization of power technology. After joining CEPCO in 1986, he has held managerial positions in the Distribution Division, served as General Manager of the Electronics & Telecommunications Department, General Manager of the Research & Development Division, and Chief Technology Officer, and has been involved in the development of sustainable energy technologies (such as lithium recycling and hydrogen production experiments). Additionally, as General Manager of Corporate Planning & Strategy Division and General Manager of the Corporate Headquarters, he has demonstrated multiple leadership roles in management strategy, overseeing the efficiency of management resources and the development of new businesses for new business for CEPCO as a whole as a whole. Currently, as the General Manager of Corporate Planning & Strategy Division and CIO, he is advancing CEPCO's digital transformation DX transformation.

Daisuke Sakai

Outside Director

Daisuke Sakai was appointed as an Outside Director at JERA in June 2023. He currently serves as the Board member and Representative Executive Vice president of Tokyo Electric Power Company (“TEPCO”) Holdings, where he leads corporate strategy to ensure stable supply of electricity in Tokyo Metropolitan area and accelerates Carbon Neutral initiatives. With a rich career in the electricity industry, he supports the enhancement of JERA’s governance and management from the position of a shareholder.

He has been leading TEPCO’s carbon neutral strategy, progressing his position from Corporate General Manager to Managing Executive Officer and then Executive Vice President.
Prior to his current position, he led TEPCO Logistics Company as a President, overseeing the procurement and logistics service of power distribution materials and equipment. Before that, he was deeply involved in thermal power asset and commercial management in TEPCO Fuel & Power Company, a shareholder of JERA. Starting his career as an electrical engineer of TEPCO in 1994, he has been engaged in various domestic and overseas thermal power projects. Midway through his career, Daisuke Sakai served as First Secretary at the Embassy of Japan in the UK from 2005 to 2008, where he followed climate change and energy policy of the UK.

Daisuke Sakai received a master’s degree in electrical engineering from the University of Tokyo in 1994.

Sami Ben Jamaa

Senior Managing Executive Officer
Chief Digital Innovations Officer

Dr. Sami Ben Jamaa has been appointed as the Senior Managing Executive Officer, and Chief Digital Innovations Officer at JERA in April 2024. With over 25 years of diverse experience spanning academia, consulting, and global executive leadership, His journey has been defined by a relentless pursuit of cutting-edge digital solutions, particularly addressing the world's pressing energy challenges.
His extensive background and passion for digital innovation enables him to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical application, ranging from optimizing existing processes to creating groundbreaking solutions for energy industry. His commitment remains steadfast: to harness the power of technology for a more efficient, resilient, and sustainable energy landscape.

Dr. Ben Jamaa has spent the first 6 years as Chief Information and Digital officer at JERA where he has championed a cloud-only approach, launched major digital transformation initiatives and promoted global education program. These programs have ranged from developing digital power plants to implementing enterprise-wide foundational AI systems. Before joining JERA, he was the President and CEO of Coca-Cola Information Business Systems, an IT consulting services company shared by all Coca-Cola bottlers in Japan. Prior to this, he served as Senior Executive Officer and CIO at Coca-Cola East Japan, the world's fifth-largest bottler, where he launched a digital transformation program from 2013 to 2017. Under his leadership, the organization embraced data-driven approaches with advanced technologies such as AI, cloud computing, SAP, and advanced analytics, transitioning into a more specialized and diverse IT organization. His accomplishments earned him a spot among Computerworld's Top 100 CIOs in 2017.

From 2004 to 2013, he, as regional information systems director, was responsible for the global deployment of information systems and technologies across the region. Including global outsourcing, IT /Business re-alignment program, SAP innovation projects, global cash management platform for Valeo group.
From 2001 to 2004, he worked at Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu in Japan as an e-Technology integration and IT strategy leader, overseeing technology-related projects across Japan, Asia, and Europe.

After graduating from university in 1991 with a degree in Civil Engineering, Dr. Ben Jamaa came to Japan in 1994 as a research fellow.
In 2000, he graduated, magna cum lunde, as Doctor in computational civil engineering from Graduate School of Science and Technology of Nihon University. From 2000 to 2001, he has served as research follow and assistant professor at Nihon university.
Dr. Ben Jamaa has also two master degrees and accelerated executive MBA.

He has held Japanese citizenship since 2008. He is fluent in four languages: Arabic, French, English, and Japanese. His main hobbies are sports and reading.

Celso Guiotoko

Chief Information Officer and Chief Information Security Officer

Celso Guiotoko has been appointed as the Chief Information Officer (CIO) and Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) at JERA since April 2024. He leads the construction of JERA’s IT infrastructure and drives cybersecurity strategy. Drawing from his experience managing IT transformations at global enterprises, including in the automotive industry, he enhances the sophistication of our management decisions and business administration.

He has spent a significant part of his career in the IT department at Nissan Motor Co., Ltd. From May 2004 to June 2017, as the company's CIO, he supported Nissan's IT infrastructure and globally restructured the IT departments at Nissan and its alliance partner Renault.
His career also includes roles such as Senior Advisor at Nishimoto Co., Ltd., Outside Director at Coca-Cola Bottlers Japan Holdings, Solution Service Vice President at i2 Technologies Japan, and Senior Manager at Andersen Consulting (now Accenture).

He holds both a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering and a Bachelor's degree in Accounting from the University of Sao Paulo, Brazil.

Kazunori Kasai

Senior Managing Executive Officer,
Chief Optimization Officer

Kazunori Kasai is Chief Optimization Officer since July 2023 where he oversees optimization division responsible for the profit-and-loss of the domestic thermal power generation business. He also supervises trading subsidiaries across fuel and power. He sits on the Board of JERA Global Markets as Chairman; previously he served the Chief Executive Officer from 2019 to 2023, established first class profitable trading business.

He is a seasoned energy veteran with over 30 years’ experience in the energy trading and power industry. He started his career with Chubu Electric Power’s (“CEPCO”) Fuels Department, where he was responsible for various energy products, including coal and LNG. He has held several leadership roles at CEPCO, including the General Manager of Chubu Energy Trading and the Managing Director of Chubu Energy Trading Singapore Pte. Ltd. In 2008, he played an integral role in forming and operationalizing CEPCO’s coal trading joint venture with EDF Trading, which would later become JERA Global Markets.
In 2015, he was appointed Vice President of Planning and Optimization at JERA. He led the JERA negotiation team towards successfully integrating the coal and LNG trading businesses of JERA and EDF Trading into JERA Global Markets. He has also served as Senior Vice President, Optimization Group in the Corporate Strategy Department and in the Optimization Group in the Energy Transactions and Projects Department at JERA.

He holds a Bachelor of Law from the University of Tokyo and an MBA from the Owen Graduate School of Management, Vanderbilt University.

Married, living with wife in Tokyo, father of two sons already independent. He is also a golf player with a lot of room to grow.

Koichi Morisaki

Senior Managing Executive Officer
Chief Thermal Transition Officer

Koichi Morisaki has been appointed as the Senior Managing Executive Officer and Chief Thermal Transition Officer at JERA since April 2024, responsible for maximizing the value of thermal power assets. He holds extensive experience in the development, maintenance, and operation of thermal power generation, demonstrating a remarkable ability to navigate the challenges of increasing profitability in power generation business and decarbonization.

In his previous role, he led the Solution Sales Division at JERA, addressing customers' issues through the company's energy management services. During his tenure at JERA, he also served in several leading roles for Japan’s power business development.
Before joining JERA, he held various positions at Tokyo Electric Power Company (“TEPCO”) and TEPCO Fuel & Power, including managerial roles in thermal power plant maintenance and fuel facility due diligence. Since joining TEPCO in April 1994, he has been committed to the thermal power sector, including overseeing power generation on Tokyo's islands.

He graduated from Tokyo Denki University with a degree in Science and Engineering in 1994.

Stephen O'Rourke

Senior Managing Executive Officer
Chief Executive Officer, JERA Americas

Stephen O’Rourke was named Chief Executive Officer of JERA Americas in July 2023. He joined JERA Americas in 2020 and served as Co-Chief Development Officer, responsible for the development of renewable and thermal power generation, low and zero carbon fuels, and attendant technologies to enable JERA’s decarbonization goals. Currently, he oversees the development and operation of all JERA’s energy assets in the U.S., leveraging his expertise in operations, technology, and commercial and regulatory frameworks to contribute to JERA’s group-wide, long-term growth and profitability.

Before his tenure at JERA, he amassed a wealth of experience in the energy industry. He spent several years as the Co-Head of Renewables for ReNew Power’s US-based subsidiary, and Co-founded Capitas Energy LLC, a developer of renewable energy projects. In 2015, he took a personal sabbatical after his impactful role as the Senior Vice President and Chief Strategy Officer at SunEdison, where he oversaw its integration with MEMC Electronics and transformation to a global renewable energy company. Previously, he was a Managing Director at Deutsche Bank Securities, responsible for the company's clean energy and semiconductor capital-equipment equity research practice. Before Deutsche Bank, he held management and leadership positions with Piper Jaffray (now Piper Sandler), Robertson Stephens and Applied Materials, Inc., and began his career driving submarines for the US Navy.

He holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the United States Naval Academy and pursued graduate work in Nuclear Engineering with the Naval Nuclear Power School.

Justin Rowland

Senior Managing Executive Officer
Chief Executive Officer, JERA Global Markets

Justin Rowland serves as the Senior Managing Executive Officer at JERA since July 2023, as well as the Chief Executive Officer of JERA Global Markets (“JERAGM”). He oversees business strategies and operations across four locations: Singapore, London, Baltimore, and Tokyo. With extensive expertise in commodity trading and risk management, he supports the asset optimization of the JERA Group.

Justin joined JERAGM in 2020 as the Managing Director for LNG, leading the global LNG and IT technology departments. Prior to this, he dedicated nearly two decades at EDF Trading (EDFT), where he played a pivotal role in developing start-up joint ventures and solidifying the company's position as a key global power and gas market trader. Serving as both the Chief Financial and Risk Officer, he held a global responsibility for the company’s strategy and decision-making.
From 2008 to 2017, he was the Chief Operating Officer and Chief Commercial Officer of the Trading Division at EDFT, overseeing the company's power and gas trading in Europe. In 2017, he spearheaded the negotiations for the sale of EDFT's coal business to JERA and played a crucial role in the establishment of JERAGM as a joint venture, followed by devising the scheme to sell EDFT's LNG business to JERAGM.
Justin began his career at Ernst & Young in London, where he spent approximately ten years. As a Senior Manager in the Banking & Capital Markets Group, he was responsible for a broad range of auditing and consulting services.

Justin graduated from the University of London’s Imperial College of Science and Technology with a Bachelor of Engineering (first class honours) in Aeronautics.

He is a Member of the Institute of Chartered Accounts in England & Wales (ICAEW).

Junya Tawa

Senior Managing Executive Officer
Chief Strategy Officer (CSO)

Junya Tawa has served as Senior Managing Executive Officer and Chief Strategy Officer (CSO) of JERA since July 2023. Leveraging his profound understanding of energy business, he plays a pivotal role in the creation and execution of the company’s growth-oriented business model from strategic planning perspective, while building the organizational structure for its initiative.

Since the early days of JERA's establishment, he has been leading the strategic planning in the company's planning division. Especially he has been central in developing JERA's unique approach towards decarbonization, JERA Zero CO2 Emission Roadmap 2050.
Before joining JERA, his career at Tokyo Electric Power Company (“TEPCO”) since 1995 involved working on LNG procurement, LNG investment and strategy formulation. When he was at TEPCO Fuel & Power Company, he served as the Deputy Director of the Comprehensive Alliance Promotion Office, overseeing negotiations for the establishment of JERA.

He graduated from Waseda University's School of Political Science and Economics in 1995.

Ryosuke Tsugaru

Chief Low Carbon Fuel Officer

Ryosuke Tsugaru was appointed Senior Managing Executive Officer and Chief Low Carbon Fuel Officer (CLCFO) of JERA in April 2024. In this role, he oversees the LNG value chain and leads the development of hydrogen and ammonia value chains.

With a career spanning over three decades, Ryosuke has devoted himself to the global energy sector. He possesses deep expertise in LNG projects and a profound understanding of the LNG value chain.
Before his tenure at JERA, Ryosuke dedicated over 30 years to Mitsubishi Corporation, where he held key senior positions in the energy sector. His roles included Senior Vice President and Division COO of the Asia-Pacific Division and Division COO of New Ventures & Marketing Division, where he significantly contributed to regional LNG security, project development and marketing and trading.

He is an alumnus of Waseda University, where he pursued studies in Political Science and Economics.

His hobbies include playing golf, watching movies and reading books.

Steve Winn

Chief Global Strategist

Steve Winn was named Senior Managing Executive Officer & Chief Global Strategist at JERA in July 2023. Leveraging his extensive investment experience and insights into M&A strategies in the US energy sector, he is responsible for enhancing corporate value through global collaboration with key partners and pursuing synergies within the group.

Before his current position, Steve served as the CEO of JERA Americas, JERA’s US subsidiary, since 2020. He joined JERA Americas as its Chief Development Officer in 2017, following his work as a consultant and advisor in the energy and power sectors.
Steve Winn’s career has been marked by a series of significant roles and achievements. As the President and CEO of Nuclear Innovation North America, he spearheaded the development of the South Texas Project Nuclear facility. Additionally, his leadership as the Regional President of NRG Energy was instrumental in managing over 10,000 MW of generation assets, 2,000 employees, and a 6,000 MW development program. He joined NRG Energy in 2004, where he made significant impact as the Head of Strategy and M&A, overseeing more than $10 billion in M&A and development. His early career in investment banking at Lehman Brothers and Salomon Brothers further honed his financial acumen in the power sector.

Steve holds an MBA from the Johnson School of Management at Cornell.

Satoshi Yajima

Satoshi Yajima serves as the Senior Managing Executive Officer at JERA, holding the dual roles of Chief Renewable Energy Officer (CREO) and Chief Solution Service Officer (CSSO) since Apr 2024.
He has extensive development experience in power generation projects across diverse regions, including Asia and North America. In this capacity, he manages JERA’s global renewable energy portfolio and energy solutions business, catering to customers' energy needs.

Satoshi Yajima’s career trajectory is a testament to his adaptability and global perspective. He started his professional journey at Marubeni Corporation in 1990, then transitioned to Enron Japan in 1999. In 2002, he joined Tokyo Electric Power Company (“TEPCO”) , where he was instrumental in the investments in overseas power generation projects. His role in the comprehensive alliance promotion office of TEPCO Fuel & Power Company was pivotal to the asset integration into JERA.
Since joining JERA in 2016, he has held key positions within the power generation business division, notably leading the renewable energy department since 2022. His achievements include the launch of JERA's offshore wind power project, the acquisition of Belgium's Parkwind, and the transition of the company’s renewable energy assets to JERA Nex UK in London, where he serves as chairman since 2024.

He graduated from Waseda University's School of Science and Engineering in 1990.

Taisuke Yokota

Taisuke Yokota has served as Senior Managing Executive Officer of JERA, with dual roles as Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) since July 2023 and Chief Business Support & Solutions Officer (CBSSO) since April 2024. He is driving the company's growth by designing systems for maximizing the value and optimal placement of our global talent, as well as strengthening the foundation of the business, such as crisis management, regional affairs, and business support.

He joined Chubu Electric Power Co., Inc. in 1994, where he worked for over 20 years in the human resources and planning departments, playing a key role in promoting alliances between the two shareholders at the establishment of JERA.
Since joining JERA, as the Head of Enterprise Value Creation Dept., and later as the Head of HR, he spearheaded a wide range of system designs, including work style reform, diversity promotion, job-based personnel system, and global talent acquisition, leading up to his current position.

He earned a bachelor’s degree in Commerce from Yokohama City University's in 1994.
