Japan Domestic Thermal Power Generation

As Japan’s largest power generation company, we deliver a stable and economical power supply by combining strategic fuel procurement with the optimized operation, management, and maintenance of our power generation assets.

Building on the successful demonstration of 20% ammonia substitution at the Hekinan Thermal Power Station in FY2024, we are steadily advancing our decarbonization initiatives. In parallel, we are developing hydrogen production and carbon capture and storage (CCS) technologies, as well as replacing aging thermal power facilities with high-efficiency units to further reduce our environmental impact.

Electricity and Gas Sales

Leveraging large-scale fuel procurement contracts and our extensive experience in thermal power plant operations, we provide electricity and gas to meet the diverse needs of our customers with reliable supply capabilities. Furthermore, JERA Global Markets, our affiliate engaged in domestic power trading, has steadily built up a solid track record by leveraging its trading knowledge and insights.
