Overseas Power Generation

JERA operates power generation projects in North America, Asia, and the Middle East, drawing on extensive experience developing and operating large-scale power plants both in Japan and overseas. Especially in Asia, we are collaborating with platform-based companies that operate multiple power generation businesses to promote the introduction of LNG fuel and advance various initiatives toward decarbonization.

Renewable Energy

In 2024, we established JERA Nex in the UK as our global hub for renewable energy business. Furthermore, in August 2025, to complement the strengths of both our company and bp, and to accelerate the global expansion of our business, we combined our offshore wind power projects into JERA Nex bp. By combining global expertise with strong local capabilities under a “glocal” (global/local) structure, we are committed to achieving 20GW of cumulative renewable energy development capacity by 2035.
