Blue Point Low-Carbon Ammonia Production Project

for illustrative purpose only

Being developed in Ascension Parish, Louisiana, U.S.A., as one of the world’s largest low-carbon ammonia production facilities, with an annual production capacity of approximately 1.4 million tons, the project uses natural gas as feedstock and incorporates carbon capture and storage (CCS) technology to capture, transport, and store CO₂ generated during the production process.
JERA holds a 35% equity interest in the project and will offtake ammonia for supply to Europe, Asia, and other regions. Final investment decision (FID) was reached in April 2025, and commercial operations are expected to begin around 2029.
