Barossa Gas Project Australia

Barossa Gas Project is a project to develop the Barossa gas field and link it by pipeline to the Darwin liquefaction plant, which JERA has equity, for LNG production. The Barossa gas field is located in Australian waters off the Northern Territory of Australia. The Project is expected to achieve economical and stable production by utilizing the existing Darwin LNG liquefaction facility.

JERA has a 12.5% of interest in the project via the Australian subsidiary. JERA will receive about 0.425MPTA of LNG from the Project which is equivalent to its equity stake in the Barossa gas field. The LNG production is expected to start in 2025 (planned).
