Cirebon Coal Thermal IPP ProjectOur Company / Investment Projects
This project involves constructing a coal-fired power plant in the city of Cirebon, located approximately 250km east of capital Jakarta in Indonesia, and operating, maintaining, and selling electricity from the power plant.
It began the commercial operation in May 2023, with the expectation of a long-term stable income for 25 years from now on. By using the coal produced in Indonesia and the adopting of highly efficient ultra-supercritical coal-fired power generation (USC) 1 technology. Our company has dispatched multiple engineers to the power plant to contribute to reducing environmental impact by utilizing the operational technology and know-how in coal-fired power generation, while also meeting Indonesia's strong demand for electricity.
In July 2016, the project was taken over from Chubu Electric Power Company.
1 Ultra-supercritical coal-fired power generation (USC): The latest coal-fired power generation technology that achieves high power generation efficiency and reduces fuel consumption and carbon dioxide emissions by adopting equipment that increases the pressure and temperature of the steam that rotates the turbine for power generation, compared to conventional methods.
