Umm Al Nar Gas Thermal IWPP Project UAE

In 2003, Tokyo Electric Power Company (since renamed and referred to herein as “TEPCO”) invested and began participating in the Umm Al Nar Power and Water Project, located in a suburb of the UAE capital, Abu Dhabi. The company running the project, the Arabian Power Company owns natural gas thermal power generation facilities with an output of 2,200MW and water desalination facilities with a daily volume of 650,000 tons. The plant is running well and the project continues to maintain high profitability.
JERA succeeded to this project from TEPCO Fuel & Power in July 2016.
