JERA Announces Share Transfer in Tenaska Gas-Fired IPP Projects in the United States2025/09/22
JERA Co., Inc. ("JERA") announced today that it has completed the transfer of its 50% interest in TC Generation, LLC ("TC Gen"), a joint investment vehicle established with Tyr Energy Inc. (Tyr Energy), a U.S. subsidiary of ITOCHU Corp.
JERA, through JERA Americas, held indirect equity interests in three gas-fired power plants in ERCOT, SPP, and PJM markets in the United States along with Tenaska. The indirect equity interests were originally held through TC Gen. All interests have now been transferred to Tyr Energy and Tenaska.
JERA will reinvest transaction proceeds as it continues to optimize its asset allocation in a changing business environment in the U.S. This approach will enable the company to adapt to evolving market conditions, achieve an optimal asset mix, and drive future revenue growth.
