Initiating Preparations for an Environmental Impact Assessment as Part of Reviewing Plans to Replace Sodegaura Thermal Power Station2025/06/18
JERA Co., Inc. hereby announces that it has begun preparing for an environmental impact assessment as part of its review of plans to replace aging facilities at its Sodegaura Thermal Power Station with state-of-the-art gas turbine combined cycle power generation facilities that will contribute to reducing CO2 emissions.
By replacing aging thermal power generation facilities with those that are state-of-the-art, JERA will contribute to ensuring a stable domestic supply of electricity over the long term and to achieving a decarbonized society.
