Commercial Operation Begins at Goi Thermal Power Station Unit 32025/03/03

JERA Co., Inc, ENEOS Power Corporation, and Kyushu Electric Power Company have, through Goi United Generation LLC, been moving forward with replacement work at Goi Thermal Power Station. Commercial operation of Goi Thermal Power Station Unit 3 began on 1 March 2025. As a result, all of the units from 1 to 3 in Goi Thermal Power Station have commenced commercial operations.

Goi Thermal Power Station Unit 3 uses an LNG-fired gas turbine combined cycle (GTCC) system. With a generating capacity of 780 MW (Goi Thermal Power Station total: 2,340 MW), we believe it will contribute to the stable supply of electricity. Furthermore, as a state-of-the-art thermal power plant that features world-leading power generation efficiency, it contributes to our efforts to reduce environmental impact by cutting CO2 emissions.

The three companies will continue working though Goi United Generation LLC to ensure the safe operation of Goi Thermal Power Station, thereby contributing to the stable supply of electricity.
