Decommissioning Units 1 through 6 at Kashima Thermal Power Station2023/03/17
JERA Co., Inc. (“JERA”) decided to decommission Units 1 through 6 at Kashima Thermal Power Station and has today submitted the notification of change of Electricity Generation Business to the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry.
JERA is currently moving forward with replacement work at thermal power plants in other locations (total 4,940MW)1. With the understanding and cooperation of local communities and other stakeholders, JERA is making every effort to secure a stable supply of energy.
