JERA to Succeed to Parent Companies’ Fuel Businesses, Overseas Power Generation Businesses, etc.2016/06/24
JERA Co., Inc. ("JERA") is delighted to announce that it will succeed to the existing fuel businesses, overseas power generation businesses, etc. of TEPCO Fuel & Power, Incorporated and Chubu Electric Power Co., Inc. (collectively, the "Parent Companies"). These businesses will be integrated into JERA on July 1, 2016.
The assets that JERA will succeed to are:
- the existing fuel businesses (upstream / procurement) of the Parent Companies,
- the existing overseas thermal IPP businesses of TEPCO Fuel & Power, Incorporated,
- the existing overseas power generation / energy infrastructure businesses of Chubu Electric Power Co., Inc. and
- the replacement of the thermal power station and new business to be conducted by Hitachinaka Generation Co., Inc. of the Parent Companies.

JERA intends to make efforts to optimize the use of these assets and maximize the effect of adding these businesses.
