JERA Announces General Sponsorship of Theme Weeks at the 2025 World Exposition in Japan2024/05/15

JERA Co., Inc. (“JERA”) announces that it has decided to become a general sponsor of the Theme Weeks that will be held during the 2025 World Exposition in Japan (the “Osaka-Kansai Expo”).

An initiative of the Japan Association for the 2025 World Exposition, organizer of the Osaka-Kansai Expo, Theme Weeks take advantage of the characteristics of the Expo, where countries from all over the world gather in the same location for six months, to seek answers to global issues by bringing together wisdom and knowledge and exploring solutions through dialogue. 
Each week is assigned a different global issue as its theme. Expo participants including official participating countries, the Japanese national government, local governments, co-creation business participants, and exhibiting companies, as well as members of industries from across Japan, will gather for “dialogue programs” where solutions are discussed and “business exchanges” that focus on concrete actions.

JERA agrees with the Theme Weeks principles and approach and, through sponsorship, will promote Theme Weeks and provide support for the project overall.

JERA, guided by its mission “to provide cutting edge solutions to the world’s energy issues” and its vision for 2035 “to scale up its clean energy platform of renewables and low greenhouse gas thermal power, sparking sustainable development in Asia and around the world,” is moving forward with a variety of initiatives. Through our sponsorship of Theme Weeks at the Osaka-Kansai Expo, which will draw participants from countries around the world, we will contribute to solving global issues.
