4,000 LNG Vessels Received at Chita LNG Terminal2019/06/28

JERA Co., Inc. (“JERA”) is pleased to announce that the total number of LNG vessels that has been received at Chita LNG terminal in Chita City, Aichi Prefecture, which is utilized with Toho Gas Co., Ltd. (“Toho Gas”), has reached 4,000 with the arrival of Senshu Maru carrying LNG from Indonesia.

 

About 42 years have passed since the terminal received its first LNG vessel in September 1977. Through the years, it has been operated successfully without any accidents or incidents in receiving LNG vessels. The total quantity of LNG unloaded at the terminal has reached approximately 236 million tons.

 

JERA will continue to contribute to the development of society by providing a stable supply of energy essential to our daily lives.

 

Note: The Chita LNG turminal is a facility for receiving, storing, and vaporizing imported LNG and sending it out to consumers in response to the demand. It consists of three terminals: Chita LNG Joint Terminal, Chita LNG Terminal of Chita L.N.G. Co., Ltd. and Chita Midorihama Works of Toho Gas.
