JERA Will Provide Medical Supplies to Bangladesh to Combat COVID-192020/07/09

JERA Co., Inc. ("JERA") will provide Bangladesh with medical supplies to combat COVID-19.

 

JERA contributes to sustainable economic development in Bangladesh through its development of new gas-fired power generation projects and investment in Summit Power International Limited ("Summit Power"), the country's largest independent power producer.

 

Medical supplies are currently in short supply in Bangladesh due to the spread of COVID-19. JERA, as a company that does businesses in the country, will provide the following medical supplies free of charge to help contain the disease. The medical supplies will be batched-shipped to Bangladesh as they are ready.

This initiative was prompted by a request from Summit Power, which supports measures to combat COVID-19 in Bangladesh. JERA procured these medical supplies from companies that support its initiatives. 

JERA sincerely hopes that the provided medical supplies will help combat COVID-19 in Bangladesh and that the situation will improve as quickly as possible.

 

JERA will continue to contribute to the development of society as a whole through social contribution activities that are tailored to the countries and regions in which it operates.
