Hitachinaka Generation Co., Inc.

Hitachinaka Generation was established in December 2013 by Chubu Electric Power Company ("Chubu") and Tokyo Electric Power Company (since renamed and referred to herein as "TEPCO") as a company to operate and maintain a new coal thermal facility and to sell the power generated by the facility.
Through the utilization of ultra-supercritical (USC) power generation, the best power generation technology available, we are aiming to achieve a highly efficient, low carbon power supply, and with the implementation of environmental equipments, such as state-of-the-art denitration equipment, desulfurization equipment, and dust collectors, we are striving to mitigate the environmental burden.JERA succeeded to this business from Chubu and TEPCO Fuel & Power in July 2016.
